My biggest news from October is that I had my 80th birthday. Can you believe that? When I was younger, I never thought I would last this long. I am staying, well, relatively healthy. I still go to the gym three times a week and can still do 30+ pushups. My mind is pretty active. I’m currently writing on my 11th and 12th books; both of them mysteries.

Also in October I spent more time in my studio working on three more psalteries, another dulcimer, and another mini thumb piano. Several are ready for me to put on binding, sand, and finish up. Maybe one or two will be done by the end of the year.

Here by the Monetery Bay we were awakened last night around 2am by very loud rain falling. It was a cloudburst that lasted almost a half hour. Nearly 1/2 inch fell (according to my rain guage). Our first heavy duty storm of the coming El Nińo season. More rain is forecast later this week.

Time change last night. Always hard to get used to.

Anyway, enough for now. Signing off.
